My dog has yellow snot, coughs, and no energy. What should I do?

My dog has thick yellow snot coming out his nose and sometimes coughs he hasn't been himself and has lost his energy to do anything

Poor Loki! From what you're describing and the appearance of his nasal discharge, it sounds like he has a pretty nasty respiratory infection. He will need prescription antibiotics to treat his infection, so I would recommend taking him to the vet tomorrow morning if possible. In the meantime, you can use a warm washcloth to gently clean off the nasal discharge to make it easier for him to breathe. You could also try bringing him into the bathroom with you while you take a hot shower - the steam and humidity often help to break up nasal congestion and may make him feel a bit better until you are able to see the vet.
