Can my dog inhale hops essential oil from a diffuser?

None of these essential oils are toxic and the amount that would be inhaled through a room diffuser would be minimal. Keep in mind that dogs have a much better sense of smell than we do, and could get overwhelmed by a strong smell. You should make sure your dog can leave and go to another room if she wants to. I do not recommend using any essential oil topically or orally in pets.

This should be completely safe for use in your household. The only contraindications would be if your dog has any respiratory issues like inflammatory airway disease, allergies, tracheitis or a collapsing trachea. Any frangrance should be safe as well. Just keep in mind that dogs do have exceptional noses so they may be more sensitive to the odors and so if you find one scent overpowering they may as well. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.
