Do I need to redo my new dog's shots if vaccine records are missing?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 3 months and 4 days old | 30.4 lbs

The rescue said they got all their shots. When reviewing the paperwork they sent over I see vac1 and 2 and a due date on the 20th before I got them for the 3rd vac.. no paperwork saying they got it. Do I need to redo all the vaccines from shot 1?

Hello there! You don't need to re-do their vaccines, but you should get Kaida in to complete the series as soon as possible. When the shelter said she had all her vaccines, they probably meant all her vaccines for her age. It's common to have one of two sets of shots left after adoption if they are very young, or had no vaccine history. I hope this helps, and best of luck to you and Kaida!
