My dog hurt her dew claw, is limping and in pain. Is it an emergency?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 30 lbs

My 2 year old healthy dog injured her dew claw, but is in pain and too snappy for us to get a good look at it. This occurred last night. We were able to get a light wrap of gauze and tape around injury and gave her 1/4 of an aspirin.Today she is limping pretty good. Is this an emergency? We weren't able to clean it- just the wrap. Would prefer to wait until tomorrow to see regular vet, but in no way want her to be in pain.

It can probably wait until tomorrow morning although if you have an option to take her today it would of course be better, as it is quite painful and uncomfortable. keeping it taped can help reduce the pain and discomfort so keep it wrapped if you can, the vet might need to sedate her in order to cut the injured claw. i would not recommend giving her anymore aspirin or other human pain killers though, these are not safe for dogs.
