My cat's bite is healing. Are extra antibiotic injections necessary?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 14 years and 4 months old | 5 lbs

Hi my cat had 2 injections for a cat bite. When she went for the third dose they only had a 14 day injection As it was healing well was this really necessary

Yes, antibiotics needs to be given for 10-14 days for a bite to prevent an infection from developing, Billie received an injection called Convenia which is an antibiotic injection that works for 14 days. the 2 first injections might have been unnecessary though (i usually give the convenia and that's it).
