My dog has a toy stuck in its rear end. Will it pass naturally?

One of my toddler's toys became lodged in my dog's rear end. I then tried to get it out but it just became lodged in much much deeper. I am not able to afford non emergency pet care.. Will the dog be able to get it out naturally?

Ultimately this depends on the size of the toy and the size of the dog. If it was small enough to fit into the anus, I would say there is a decent change that it might be able to work its way out, so long as it hasn't moved too far into the colon. There is a certain point in the colon where it takes a turn, at which point it will be much more difficult for it to move in the other direction. While I certainly can appreciate your financial situation, should this item not be able to pass on its own Daisy would require a procedure to remove the object. Once again, depending on its location in the GI tract, an open abdominal surgery versus a endoscopic procedure is possible. Anyway, I hope things move along in the natural fashion and that Daisy ends up OK! Hope this helps!
