Pet's info: Dog | Bullmastiff | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 28 days old | 55 lbs
Hi, I'm Janice from Manila with a concern of our 6 months old bullmastiff who since a few weeks produces soft stools that -after rinsing- look like chicken intestine. We thought it might be worms? But than they would be dead as it's not moving. He's going through stages of being fit and than unfit again. Running one day, next day lazy and no appetite. We feed him mainly boiled bony meat and dry puppy food. Picture shows soft stools rinsed, like chicken intestine. Thanks for your impression

This is very concerning as it appears to contain blood, mucus and possibly bowel lining. I recommend an oral worm medication, a specialist intestinal or hydrolyzed diet for 6 weeks and a probiotic/fiber supplement such as fortiflora to rebalance the bowel and rule out any parasitic causes. A full health check, blood tests and possibly ultrasound/xray if not responding or any weight loss, vomiting or weakness is noted

I would recomend a vet visit for Dutch if possible. He may need a stool check for parasites or potentially radiographs or bloodwork. If he is on a large breed puppy food that is nutritionally balanced. I don't recomend feeding bones at all(cooked or raw) because of the risk for blockage or perforation of the intestines. Dutch may have a chronic GI partial obstruction if his signs come and go. I would get a vet check up asap to be sure.
