11-week-old puppy: Solo 5 or 9? When are parvo & rabies shots?

hi, i have a 11 week old toy chi. shes had the solo jec 5 2 weeks ago. do i give her the 5 again or the solo 9? also does she get another parvo shot when i take her to the vet for her rabies shot?

The solo 5 and solo 9 are different vaccines in that the 9 also offers protection against several strains of leptospirosis. You have a couple of a different options in terms of how you can go about things and you may get a different opinion from a few different vets. In 3-4 weeks you can get the solo 5 boostered OR you can booster if with the solo 9. Either way, I would still booster this one more time at 18-19 weeks in order to guarantee full protection up to one year of age. Some veterinarians may tell you to only booster at the 15 week mark. This is a valid opinion, but it will not be good enough if you want to get the lepto portion of the vaccine. You will need at least two shots with the lepto in it, meaning at 15 and 19 weeks. As for the Rabies shot, this can be given at any time after 12 weeks of age. Hope this helps!
