What's the best litter for outdoor cat boxes in humid climates?

Hello my cat is an inside and out cat, I live in Florida. I have two litter boxes for him it is a clumping brand so it's an easy clean up, he has no problem using them. the question is the box I have put outside is clumping with out my cat using it, and when it does start to clump he doesn't use the one out side.... but still uses the box with the same litter inside. Which litter should I use out side? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 80 lbs

If the box is not covered I would recommend doing so but otherwise try a wood pellet based litter which can be quite similar in texture; you may need to try a few brands until you find one that is acceptable to Storm!
