Are Malacetic & Tresaderm safe with prednisone & bronchodilators?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | spayed | 2.75 lbs

Are there any medications that Malacetic and Tresaderm cannot be used with? I have a Yorkie that is on prednisone and a bronchodialator for trach problems.

Hello there! I'm sorry to hear that little Nibblet is having some trouble. Luckily, Malacetic and Tresaderm are topical drugs that don't work systemically like prednisone and the bronchodilator, so they should not interact. If you think Nibblet is having additional issues since starting these medications, please give your vet a call for further advice as they know much more about Nibblet's conditions and can offer more individualized advice. I hope she feels better soon!
