My cat has black stool once after food change. Should I worry?

My cat has black stool for some reason. I used to give her dry food from another brand and then changed it to Royal canin but in stages so she doesn't have diarrhea which worked and she didn't have diarrhea but the problem is now is that she started having black colored stool. This never happened, but this also only happened once so i'm not very sure if i should go to the vet or not.

Black stool can indicate that there is blood in the stool or something the pet ate disoclored the stool. If it only happened once and isn't consistently seen, then I wouldn't be too concerned about it. Just keep an eye on things moving forward, and if seen consistently then it's best to get Bella's stool tested by your vet. Best wishes and take care.
