My dog's eyes are glazed and swollen from allergy. Is she blind?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 4 years and 9 months old | 14 lbs

My furr baby has just been in vets due to a allergic reaction to something of which we dont know what her eyes was really bad and swollen.....and still are but getting better....her eyes look slightly glazed is this a sign of going blind ? Could this be from the allergic reaction Many thanks gemma

Hi Gemma, I don't think Poppy is going blind. The glazed look in the eyes is likely from the medication that the vet gave to counteract the reaction. I have never seen a dog go blind from an allergic reaction. It is surely possible but not likely. My recommendation is to keep her calm and quiet tonight and if her eyes don't seem more back to normal tomorrow call your vet back for a consult. I hope this helps. Best wishes to you and Poppy!
