Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | neutered | 2 months and 5 days old | 6.4 lbs
My 10 week old Boston terrier licks at his genitals no more than most dogs, but within the last few days, I noticed a metallic smell when he's licking around his genital region. Today I noticed a small drop of cream colored goo at the end of his prepuce, and after wiping it, realized that it matched the same metallic smell as when he's licking his genital region. Is it just smegma? Or an indicator of some sort of infection? Urine is clear, no straining to urinate, and no infrequent urination.

This is most likely normal discharge and not an infection. If the discharge is thick, green/yellow than it may indicate a urinay tract infection. But based on his age and being an intact male it sounds very normal and not like a medical problem.
