Why did my German Shepherd's legs suddenly stop working and spasm?

Hello , my male german shepard back legs suddenly stoped working then when i held him to feel comfortable his back legs started to spasm and jump around then he suddenly bend his back so hard i thought he was goin to break his back ! lots of water came of his mouth and also he teared up and cried a lot during this , but it only took 5 minutes and after that he was fine again , he had a similar experience last month but he only couldnt move his legs for a shorter time and no pain and tear. This sounds like it may be seizure activity - keep a diary of all events and altered behaviours so you can track any changes and contact your vet for a full health check and blood panel to rule out medical causes such as liver or kidney issues. Video an episode if at all possible to allow better assessment of what is happening
