What to do for a puppy's dry nose, especially after parvo recovery?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 5 months and 26 days old | 54 lbs

hi, I'm wondering if there's anything I can do for my puppy's dry nose. We've had him for 3 weeks and this has been his "normal", however, he is also recovering from parvo, so I dont know if this is due to a suppressed immune system or something similar.

Poor Cody! The dry nose is likely a result of being through so much, he has likely been very dehydrated and I suppose the nose has been the least of the body's concern. You could apply an unscented moisturiser such as aqeous cream to the nose, rub it in well a few times a day and ir should help return the moisture. If the nose gets so dry that it cracks visit your vet.
