My cat is in labor and ate a sac. What was it and is it normal?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 10 lbs

I think my cat is in labor.. I saw her eat a sack what was it.

The sac was likely a water bag, there should be a kitten along shortly. Your cat should be able to get on with the labour herself with minimal input. Keep an eye on her but try not to interfere overly. If she is pressing for more than 30mins or there is a long time between kittens call your local vet.

    Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! That is concerning! If she doesn’t start to have kittens in the next 24 hours from when you found that tissue I’d have her seen. It’s hard to tell you what that this is. It could be part of the placenta, a resorbed fetus or the remains of something she passed and ate. I hope this helps!
