Why does my pit bull have recurring eye discharge despite treatment?

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 8 years and 6 months old | 92 lbs

Every morning my pit bull has pussy eyes. I clean them and have used Nevanac drops, Puralybe ointment and Vigafexa but to no avail. Sometimes it gets better but always. Ones back. I live in the Caribbean and there are not many meds abvailsble. Help please!

It appears he may have an entropion. This is where the eyelids roll inward so the hair and lashes can scratch the eye and cause irritation. This maybe secondary to confirmation or secondary from swelling. Your vet can check for an ulcer and hopefully prescribe anti inflammatory meds if there is not one. From there, they will check for dry eye and discuss surgery to fix the entropion to provide permanent relief
