My dog is shaking days after surgery. Is her Tramadol causing it?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 24.1 lbs

My dog had surgery 4 days ago and today she is shaking. The specialist at the clinic gave me tramadol twice a day until tomorrow. She is 24 pounds and 2 years old the dosis for the tramadol is 50 mg per day, I'm very worried because her shaking, but she has no fever and the scar looks well, no sign of infection. I don't know what to do to help her feel better! Thank you in advance!

The wound looks perfect. Sonetimes they shake because of the after egfects of aneasthetic, but strong pain killers such as tramadol can make dogs feel strange. I would suggest stopping the tramadol now and see how she gets on.
