Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 1 month old
Hi, my dog constantly bites which is both harming and frustrating. The other day after i took off her leash she swung it in her mouth and then jumped on me and held my hand in her mouth, as i tried to escape she followed and bit my arm hard. I am almost sure it is putting her to a leash is what is disturbing her but we have no way out since she has to be tied sometimes. She also tends to bite whenever someone approaches his hand when she's hyperactive or playing. How can i deal with her biting?

Lexy is likely playing and play-biting, but she doesn't know what is acceptable biting and what is too much. Make sure not to get her wound up, and if she is really excited redirect her biting to a toy she is allowed to chew on. Also, check out the play-biting section in this great veterinary behavior dog training website: www.dogstardaily.com. This is an excellent resource--good luck!
