My dog has a hoarse voice and sore throat. Can I give him medicine?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 8 months old

Bruno was alone at home 2 days back and he bark a lot now when he bark on stranger it looks like normal but when he talks to me he has hoarseness in his voice so is it life threatening or what ? I am worried how much time will it take to recover as what should I do he is active playing and eating well and can I give him AZITHROMYCIN for this sore throator what should I do today is 3 days

NO! Do not give any Azithromycin. That will not help this problem. The only thing that helps a hoarse voice to rest it so if you can, try to keep him from barking. It is not life threatening. My guess is that he may have a touch of kennel cough and it will usually resolves within 10-14 days. If it does not, or if he starts showing other symptoms (vomiting, not eating, lethargy, nasal discharge) then I would get him to a vet for an exam. I hope this helps! Best wishes!
