Excellent question.Pimobendan is a heart medication. Lasix is a diuretic to remove the fluid build up from the lungs. Metoclopramide is an antivomit medication that has nothing to do with the heart or lungs directly, so I am unsure if Mia has an underlying illness that is requiring this medication. Sulfamethoxazole is an antibiotic used for GI bacterial infections and any suscpeptible infections. So it appears that your vet is treating for the heart condition and also for some underlying GI issue. If you have specific questions however then I would definitely recommend discussing with your vet about Mia's current treatment recommendations, mainly for the Metoclo

Hello, Pimobendan is a drug that helps the heart work easier and more efficient. Patients with heart disease had a decrease in their heart function and cannot pump blood away from the heart to the rest of the body efficiently. Lasix is diuretic used to decrease the volume of fluids in the blood vessels, but is also helps clear the build up of fluid in the lungs of patients with heart disease so that they can breathe easier. It is commonly used in patients with congestive heart failure. Metoclope i think you're referring to metaclopramide which is an anti-nausea medication that also promotes GI function. Finally, sulfamethoxazole is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. Hope this helps.
