My dog hates car rides after sickness. Will treats help or hurt?

My dog was sick a couple of times in the car (travel sickness) and now he hates the car and tries to stop me from putting him in. He hasn't been sick in the car recently but he still hates any car rides. Would giving him a kong with some treats in help or would that make it more likely that he'll be sick anyway? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 4 days old

Hello, the kong with treats may entice him into going into the car. You can also reward him with a kong and treats for going into the car and that way he may learn that going into the car is not as scary as he thought. However, he may not like going into the car because it makes him feel sick, so you may speak with your veterinarian about medications to control his car sickness. In regards to wether the treats will make him sicker, I think that depending on how sensitive he is to motion sickness, he may experience this regardless of if he gets treats. Hope this helps.
