Why is my hamster itching constantly after escaping under house?

Ny hamster recently escaped her cage and managed to get under the house. We was lucky enough to rescue her but since she has been back she has been itching alot more than usual, pretty much every couple of seconds. Under the house is very dust and dirty and possible full of insects. What should i do? Thank you. Pet's info: Other | Unknown - Other | Female

Poor Olaf! This could be due to an allergy or she could have picked up some type of parasite like lice or mites. I would have your vet look at her to see what is causing the itching. If she itches too much with no resolve she could cause herself to develop a skin infection. I hope this helps and she starts to feel better soon.
