Hello there! My cat is constantly licking the end of his tail and it has turned a reddish-brown color. He is always trying to catch his tail and then once he does he over licks the end of it. Is there anything I can do or should do? Anything to worry about?

You can try to give him 3/4 teaspoon of children's Benadryl twice a day to see if this helps. If it doesn't help I would have your vet look at that portion of his tail to make sure there is no bacterial infection, fungal infection or mites that could cause excessive itching. I hope this helps!
