Can I give my senior dog diazepam with tramadol, metacam, gabapentin?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male

My golden retriever is 16. He's got arthritis in his back end but he's so determined to keep going, but tonight he seems in pain with his back legs. Just wanted to know if I could give him diazepam as well as him already being on tramadol, metacam and gabapentin? I'm wondering if he is having muscle spasms? Just HATE seeing him in pain.

I doubt diazepam would make much difference as he is already on a lot of meds. My concern would be for his liver trying to metabolise so many drugs. He could also become heavily sedated with this combination. If he is very sore i would try calling your vet to see if you could increase the does of his meds.
