In the past month my 14 year old dog has been peeing on the rugs. Never did he do this before. Today he peed right in front of me. He's not sick. What could it be?

This can a urinary infection, kidney disease or a sign of diabetes, or in continence at that age. Some of these will cause an increase in drinking water and no other signs until it is severe. It is best to have a urine sample checked at your vet to rule out some of these options. There is medicine available to treat and manage each of these

Roxy should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. She could have a bladder infection, bladder stones, kidney disease, diabetes, Cushing's disease, decreased urethral sphincter tone, etc. Your vet can test a urine sample and run bloodwork to help diagnose and then determine the best way to treat. She may just need an antibiotic to treat an infection.
