My cockatiel ate a plant with heart-shaped leaves. Is it toxic?

Hi my name is Karen and I own a cockatiel bird,I accidentally left my bird out and saw that she was eating a plant specifically the stem I have no idea what kind of plant it is but the shape of the leaf is a heart can you please help me I don't know what to do. Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Female | 70 lbs

Wow, this is a really difficult question to answer. Could you please repost your question with a photo of the plant/stem? There is no way for me to help you without that and even with that I am not sure I will know what it is. Try to do some research on your own to see what the name of the plant is and then search Google as to whether or not it is known to be toxic to birds. Your other option is to take Chita and the plant to your local AVIAN vet and have them examine it for you. Wish I could be more help but without knowing what the plant is or seeing it myself I cannot possibly tell you if it is toxic or not. I hope this was helpful in some way.
