What probiotics are safe for my 3-month-old kitten with diarrhea?

Hi is it safe to give a kitten (3 months) these probiotics : lactobacillus delbruekii and lactobacillus fermentum (5 billions) i can decrease the dosage if concentration is high but are these strains safe ? i need to use them for diarrhea as she is given anti biotic Thanks in advance

This sounds like a lot although I am not sure if it will cause any harm. The normal dosage would be about 100,000,000 CFU/g. If this probiotic you are giving is not specifically made for cats I would suggest you get one made for cats.     I would try a probiotic first if he is otherwise eating and acting normally. If after a few days of starting the probiotic and there is no improvement then a vet exam would be warranted. Do not give any over the counter anti-diarrheals. Fortiflora would be the best probiotic to use, in my opinion. You can use any one made for cats (no human products).
