My cat has a low white blood count. Should I worry about his immunity?

My kitties white blood count is low is this something I should worry about. My vet said that it might be his normal. She was goingto check with some specialist to see if he should be on something. For his immune system

It can be indicative of an immune problem, but can occur for various other reasons. I would have it checked again in a few weeks in case it was just transient, also confirming a low wbc count on a microscope is a good idea as machines can get it wrong. Maybe your vet already did this though.
