My puppy has diarrhea and I noticed blood and mucus in it. He is taking the antibiotic chloramphenicol. Should I take him to the emergency room?

Hello, chloramphenicol is associated with vomiting and diarrhea as a side effect. However there are other causes in puppies for bloody diarrhea including worms and vieuses.i would consider visiting the ER if he is having more then 2 episodes of the diarrhea during the day. Hope this helps.
