Why does my senior dog have lumps like hives but isn't itchy?

My 10yr old dog has lumps all over his sides , looks just like hives but he does not scratch them, will it be hives ? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 10 years and 1 month old

Yes, it sounds like hives but it is hard to say without seeing it. Can you re-post with a photo? You could use an anti-itch spray as it usually has something in it to reduce inflammation and soothe the skin. Without seeing the lesions it difficult for me to give too much advice. Please repost with a photo if you can. Of course, a vet visit is always recommended. Having someone look at the lesions in real life is always better than a photo. I hope this helps. Best wishes.
