My new cat won't come out, eat, or use the litter box. Is this normal?

I brought a new cat (4 years old) home about 36 hours ago and she hasn't come out from under the bed at all, nor will she eat drink or use the litter box. Should I be concerned? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | 12 lbs

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! My guess is that Claire is just very scared in her new home and needs time to get comfortable. Put a littler box and food near the bed and close the door. Go in multiple times per day to sit with her. She will get more comfortable with time. Good luck!
