Great Pyrenees struggling to poop, mineral oil didn't help. Bloat?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 5 years and 6 months old | 150 lbs

I have a great Pyrenees, male,5 1/2 years old. when I can get him to stand up he acts like he is bound up. like he wants to take a dump and can't. I gave him 12 cc of mineral oil last night at 10:30. still nothing. he is about 150 lbs

Hi there. Another worry I have with large breed dogs like this is bloat-where the abdomen becomes swollen and painful. Often you can not obvious distention of the stomach. A GDV is a variant of this illness where the stomach actually twists and cuts off the blood flow, causing even more extreme pain and bloating. Your dog may have non productive wretching as well. I would urge you to take your dog in inmediately for veterinary care. If he were constipated, most likely the mineral oil would have moved things along by now. I hope he feels better soon.
