How much vitamin supplement can I safely give my kitten daily?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 3 days old | 0.44 lbs

I recently got an "Ecuvit Feline" pills for cats.Last evening I gave him one and he ate the pill by himself. (on the package it says tasty pills for cats) I guess you know what are those pills for but if you don't they should help cats get vitamins, minerals, calcium and give them appetite. My cat loves them. Can I give him one pill in the morning and one in the evening. Should I keep giving him that?I started yesterday. Please tell me ASAP!

Hello. It appears based on the label that you can give kittens 1 to 2 per day. That being said, if he is on a good, balanced diet he should not need a vitamin supplement. You can surely over-supplement a kitten and cause more harm than good. I would recommend a good balanced diet and no supplements. However, if you wanted to give 1 tablet per day I doubt that would cause any harm. I hope this helps. Best wishes to you and Felix!
