My dog has a watery lump on his shoulder. When should I see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | English Springer Spaniel | Male | unneutered | 8 years and 9 months old | 50 lbs

My dog as a watery/fluid filled lump on his front left shoulder blade and I'm concerned. Please help? I discovered it about a week ago. I not sure what could have caused this. My boy seems to be his normal self and doesn't seem to be bothered by this watery lump on his front. It's about the size of a golf ball give or take.

The lump needs to be checked and analysed as there are many conditions and types of tumors that could look like that. take Charlie to the vet, they will perform a fine needle aspiration on the growth and send it to the lab for analysis. when the result comes, the vet will advise what needs to be done according to the diagnosis.
