My puppy has unexplained bumps and swelling. What's wrong with him?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 21 days old | 15 lbs

My puppy keeps having bumps appear, different sizes varying from marble sized to ping pong size, different places some have gone but then new ones pop up and the ones on his front legs at the ankle joints have stayed and gotten more swollen, he has had xrays been on steroids and benadryl, and nothing seems to help and the vets cant figure out what is wrong. Right now he has a bumps under each eye semetrical, and his legs are semetrical as well, but the ones on his feet are smaller.

Poor guy. He sounds like he may have a very unusual disease process here. An autoimmune skin disorder is possible. The next best test to do is to have the vet do a skin biopsy and bloodwork on Bane. This will hopefully reveal what the underlying conditon is, so that we know exactly what treatment is needed to resolve this. Best wishes at the vet and I hope you get to the bottom of this soon.
