Hello, I have 2 buns and one has had blood in her urine for over 2 weeks. I thought she was menstrating. When i found out they don't menstrate , i took her to the vet. My other bun has blood in her urine now. The 1st bun has all the symtoms of snuffles. The other bun has the blood but no other symptoms like the 1st. Can they both have snuffles?

Hello. Are you using a vet that is used to treating rabbits? If not, they may be treating the rabbits for blood in the urine when it may not really be blood. Reddish/orange urine in rabbits can be normal. Here is a good article to read: http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=18+1803&aid=2839 Red urine is not a symptom of snuffles. Snuffles is a respiratory disease. To answer your specific question: yes, they could both have snuffles as it is a bacterial disease that is very contagious. http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=18+1803&aid=2686 I hope this helps. Best wishes to you and Flower and Nia.
