thank you our online expert and competent vet for answering our queries.It helps us a lots and give us the ideas on how to take care of our pets...Our retriever i about 6 weeks pregnant,a while ago a check her mammary gland and pinch one of her nipple.I observe that there no milk or fluid comes out.It really puzzled us..my question is in what stage of her pregnancy her mammary gland start secreting milk? Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | 6 years and 5 months old

Hello there. A pregnant dog will not secrete milk until 1 to 2 days before giving birth. The gestation period is about 63 days so I would not expect your dog at 6 weeks (42 days) to be secreting any milk. Sounds like she is right on track! I hope this answers your question.
