My German Shepherd has formed a raised sore on the outside of her front leg. What is it or causes it

Hi there. Without a photo or examining Lottie myself it is very hard to say what is going on. My best guess based on the description is that she has a histocytoma. https://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=1676 However, the "sore" could be anything from an insect bite to an infection to a cancer tumor. She definitely needs to see a vet for this issue. I don't think it's an emergency but I would try to get her in for an exam within the next week. I hope this helps. Best wishes to you and Lottie!
