My dog has a head wound. Is it related to her sinus infection?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 22 lbs

I took my beagle terrier mix to the vet because she was sneezing blood, constantly clearing her throat and scratching at her face. He gave us an antibiotic and the symptoms have almost cleared but now there is a wound on her head less than two inches above her left eye. There used to be a small bump there that I assumed was a mole. Could the bump have been something related to her sinus infection symptoms?

Hi there! While ir is possible your pup could have a skin mass that had lung metastasis (spread) causing respiratory symptoms-I think it is more likely that they are unconnected symptoms. If she is responding to treatment well and improving, I probably wouldn't be overly concerned. I hope this helps!
