My cat has red bumps on lips and ear. Could it be feline acne?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year and 3 months old | 10 lbs

My cat's lips keep getting red irritated bumps on them. They eventually heal up, but then new ones appear. I just noticed that he has the same looking bumps in his right ear. Is this Feline Acne or something else? Thank You

Without a picture its difficult to tell, but acne if possible, as is a rodent ulcer which can both be caused by allergies. I would make sure Moo is on regular flea prevention. He may need to set your vet to determine what he's allergic to and the best way to keep it from flaring up.
