Why do my dogs have tapeworms despite flea treatment & cooked food?

How can both my dogs have tapeworms if it cant be transmitted from dog to dog ? Also they dont have flees they are both treated for flees, can it be from the chicken i cook for them and thats all they pretty much eat :( im so confused also i got the drontal plus for both my dogs and im hoping it works soon. :(. Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | unspayed | 4 years and 11 months old | 17 lbs

Tapeworms can be transmitted from fleas, raw meat /fish or rodents. I recommend you take a sample to be identified by your vet in order to investigate the source. Drontal plus should be effective and should be repeated after one month
