My 5 month old puppy has been losing his baby teeth without any trouble but lately I've heard his teeth grinding together after he closes his mouth (after he yawns) and noticed he has a really loose tooth at the back but it's gone black. It seems really loose but hasn't fallen out and I don't know whether to take him to the vet or whether to let it fall out on its own. It doesn't appear to cause him any pain as he's still eating and playing.

If it's really loose, it's going to fall out on its own, so I wouldn't worry about it. If it is just dangling, and you can grab it without getting bitten, you can pull it out yourself if it takes no force and doesn't seem to hurt him, but you don't have to do anything really as it's going to come out sooner or later.
