Is cat milk safe for a wild baby rabbit that won't eat or drink?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | unspayed

I recently found a baby rabbit. she is the size of a chipmunk. She was with others but all of them were getting fed but she was obviously not fed. I took her in and been trying to get her fed well but she wont eat anything for me and i tried using an eyedropper to give her water but she wont take it, so i got whiskas cat milk because i heard cat milk is a good replacement for them but i am not sure if it is safe for her or how it should be prepared if need be.

If this is a wild rabbit it needs to be returned to where you found it or call a wildlife rehabilitator. Wild rabbits typically die in captivity. http://www.2ndchance.info/bunnies.htm If a domestic rabbit here is more info on raising. http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/orphan.html Much depends on how old the rabbit is. Babies are only nursed twice a day and are usually weaned by 4 weeks old.
