My cat has a bald red spot on his ear. What can it be and can i put neosporin on it?

It could be a bacterial infection, allergic dermatitis, fungal infection, etc. You could clean it with an antiseptic wound cleaner and then put some neosporin on it and see if it helps. If not, he should be examined by a vet for treatment.

    This area appears to have been scratched very severely by your cat. Usually when a cat does something like this is because they are very itchy. Based on the location of the sore I would be suspicious of an ear infection. I would recommend taking your cat into the vet to have his ears and skin checked out, and ear medication given if your vet feels it is appropriate. In the meantime, you can apply antibiotic ointment to the area but you cat will probably continue to scratch the area until the underlying issue is resolved.
