My dog's nipple has a lump and dark brown liquid. What could it be?

Pet's info: Dog | Mastiff | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 4 months old | 130 lbs

I don't think she's pregnant her belly isn't hard and her vulva isn't sticking out but she has milk coming out of one nipple. The nipple has a hard lump in it that moves around. It isn't mastitis she doesn't have any symptoms of it. Do y'all know what this could be? Also the milk is dark brown so probably not milk, and doesn't come out until I squeeze it.

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If the liquid coming from her nipple is brownish and there is a mass in the breast tissue it is likely a cystic mammary tumor. A lot of which are benign. Some breast masses in dogs are cancerous though. Usually it is recommend to spay them and remove the breast mass. Hormones play a role in the formation of the tumors. I'd get the mass checked out by your Vet and discuss removing it to biopsy. Good luck!
