My ferret has a tumor and is suffering. What can I do with no money?

Pet's info: Other | Unknown - Other | Male | neutered | 5 years and 6 months old | 2 lbs

my ferret is having diarrhea, not eating or drinking, not pooping in his litter box anymore, sleeps constantly, utinating all over himself and such! I took him to the vet almost a month ago and got told he has a tumor and will probably need to be put down but i do not have any money what so ever! what should i do? i hate seeing him suffer!

Poor Gannan! It would be great if at a bare minimum you could get some pain medication on board for him. Hopefully your vet will dispense an anti-inflammatory or opiate pain medication to you so that you can treat his pain during this tough time. There are very inexpensive options out there for pain meds and this is what I suggest to people who don't have a lot of money to spend or who don't believe in euthanasia.

    It sounds like he is suffering and euthanasia is warranted. Please don't prolong his suffering and take him for euthanasia. Call around to other vet hospitals and see if you can find a less expensive option if your vet is too costly for you. You can also check with your local shelter or humane society as they will often do euthanasias at no cost. I hope this helps. Sorry about Gannan's failing health.
