Is my rabbit 1 month old at 4 weeks? How do I determine its exact age?

Good afternoon, after 4 weeks of rabbit care after the 4th week they turn 1 month right?? Cause I'm just so confused on the rabbits age cause I wont know when they will turn 1 month and I don't want people to look at me as a bad bunny parent. Some people be saying 12 weeks and I be so confused

If you are trying to determine age of a rabbit 4 weeks old and 1 month old are the same. 12 weeks old would be they are 3 months old. If you know the day they were born you can count back the weeks to determine their age

A rabbit's age works exactly the same as a person's age, time is the exact same. If it is 5 months on 5 months on 1st August then its birthday is 1st March 2017, you can always work out its ahe if you know its birthday.

What kind of rabbit is this and how can you tell if its a boy or girl and how old it is ?
This rabbit looks like an english spot/ a mini lop or a dutch rabbit. They are often a combination. If the rabbit has testicles beside its bottom it is quite obvious. However if you cant see testicles i would get a vet to confirm its sex.

We got a rabbit at a large chain store and they couldnt tell us exactly how old she is. Is there any way to determine the age?
Yes, a vet can examine Lola and give an approximate age. I would have her seen by a vet to have this done but to also get a health check. Sometimes animals from these large chain stores are not in the best health.

So long story short. We didn’t know my bunny genders. Then we found out two weeks ago and I think I have a pregnant bunny lol. Any thoughts or advice if she’s pregnant and advice for when she has babies?
They are quite cute! The best way to determine pregnancy in a rabbit is via a physical exam. Other symptoms include weight gain, nesting, fur pulling or aggressive behavior. Gestation is short, about 4 weeks. They can mate as soon as a few days after kindling (giving birth), so it would be recommended to separate them until you can determine genders and pregnancy status. It can be quite difficult to an untrained eye with a rabbit that young, but is possible. It's best to have one person hold the bunny upside down and hold the back legs, so it can't kick. Once the bunny is calm, look for the penis (testicles will not be present) or vagina. Do a google image search of "how to sex a rabbit" to find good examples of the difference in anatomy. My bunnies are 4 weeks old can I start giving them oats like oatmeal or is that bad for them? How much pats should I give the babies?
I do not recommend giving oats as this is too concentrated for bunnies and can cause some severe upsets in their gastrointestinal tract. It's best to feed these little bunnies a good pelleted feed (i.e. Oxbow) that is made for juvenile rabbits. You should also give them free-choice hay (good quality like timothy or brome) along with plenty of fresh grass. I do not recommend introducing vegetables, or fruits until the bunnies are four months old. This diet will ensure your bunnies are getting the best nutrients and will ensure that they are well-adapted to eating the healthy stuff (grass, hay, quality pellets) rather than the junk (fruits and vegetables). Keep in mind that when you do add the fruits and vegetables to the diet, it should be no more than 10% of the total diet. As far as petting the bunnies...the more you do, the more they will be socialized with you and other people. There is no limit to how much you pat them. Hi, I have a rabbit that I purchased from pet supermarket but when I purchased it I didn’t receive any information (its age, breed, or gender). Is there a dna test for a rabbit that will tell me any of that information?
I am afraid there is no test. However if you only bought the rabbit recently, you can go back to the shop and they can tell you what age their rabbits were at a certain time of sale. As for the gender : male rabbits have two elongated testicles, one each either side of the penis, Females just have a little slit. As for its breed , you can upload a good photo from the side and we can try to figure out what breed your rabbit is.

Hi and thank you for your question, Most rabbits reach sexual maturity at the age of about 4 months, but this also depends on the breed, size and individual differences. Males may try to mount other rabbits and/or become territorial and aggressive. Females often become aggressive and may bite.
