My dog was throwing up Sunday afternoon into the night. I have a 12 month old Chihuahua Terrier Mix. She's up to date on her shots. Anyways, I took her to an emergency Pet Clinic Monday morning and they did a parvo test which back negative and gave my dog a nausea injection along with some nausea medication. My dogs demeanor hasn't changed. Well she threw up today, has diarrhea and some I saw a few drops of blood. Should I be terribly concerned? Do I need to take her back to the vet?

Hi there. If the problems of vomiting and diarrhea have persisted through symptomatic medications like you were prescribed I would recommend taking her back in. Other differentials I'm thinking of include intestinal parasites, HGE, pancreatitis, and a possible foreign body. Awesome that she was parvo negative! Your vet will need further testing to descriminate between these illnesses (potentially a fecal, blood work, x rays). I hope this helps!
