My cat just came home skinny, gassy, and with flaky skin. Why?

My 5 year old male cat went missing april 8th for 98 days. He is microchipped, declawed and nuertered.He has been my cat his whole life. He just showed up out of the blue july 16th. He is skinny and has a bad order like really stinky gas. Also has dry flaky dandruff at base of tail. What could it be.... doesnt look like walking dandruff and no worms are detected. His appetite seems good and is showing signs of improvement. Very loving and he is active and vocal.he was raised indoors only. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 4 years and 9 months old | 10.1 lbs

Great news that you got him back! The weight loss, poor skin and flatulence are likely related to a poorer diet and stress of fending for himself. I strongly recommend feeding a high quality complete food and thorough flea and worm dose to ensure he does not bring any parasites back with him. A full vet check is recommended if not improving over 5-7days
